FROM THE BEGINNING.
Our founder, Martin Sherman, a West Side native started doing custom picture framing in 1979 in his garage in Santa Monica... well, technically, he started out selling art at the Santa Fe Springs Flea Market. He’d show up with 4 or 5 of his kids, and as they were all running around he was selling.

The demand for custom frames became so high that it was only natural for him to start doing custom picture framing.

He learned every step of the process by basic trial and error with his wife Renee and late brother Dan.

With no formal training or prior guidance, they learned to perfect each step of the process on their own.

The Business grew and grew and eventually after going through a few smaller locations in the South Bay, they landed in our current location on Lincoln Blvd.

With a passion for art and conservation and a family history of designers, including his father noted fashion designer, the late Ben Sherman, he was able to master the art of custom picture framing.
He has since passed his knowledge and passion for the craft to his daughters who continue to keep the family business operating on the principles he established over 35 years ago.

Most of our team has been with us since Martin opened the doors, giving us a combined total of over 200 years of experience.

With so much time spent in the industry we have long since figured out the art of custom picture framing.
